Privacy Policy

This policy describes what DealVela actually collects today, in plain terms. It will be expanded as user accounts and other features are built.

What we collect

• Affiliate clicks: when you click "View Deal", we record which offer, a session identifier (a random id stored in a cookie, not tied to your real identity), the referring page, your browser's user agent, and a hashed version of your IP address — never the raw IP.
• Search queries: what you search for on the site, to improve results over time.
• Admin accounts: for the small number of people who administer this site, we store an email address and a securely hashed password. This never applies to regular visitors.

What we don't collect

We don't collect more personal information than the above. We don't sell your data. We don't require an account to browse, search, or compare prices.

Cookies

We use one first-party cookie to maintain an anonymous session identifier, used for click attribution. It contains no personal information by itself.

Third parties

When you click through to a merchant, that merchant's own privacy policy governs what happens on their site — we don't control that. Affiliate networks we work with may also receive click/attribution data as part of standard affiliate tracking.
